Hi,
Created a couple of groups like an hour ago. Managed to add users to the groups also. I have activated new modules and needed to assign the new permissions to the groups. When I access the groups, I get the warning message:
‘Access denied.
You try to access to a page, area or feature of a disabled module or without being in an authenticated session or that is not allowed to your user.’
I have logged out and back in but I am still unable to make any changes to the groups.
Your assistance will be much appreciated.
Hi, so it happens that I also encountered this issue and manage to find a way to navigate through the problem.
In my case, this is how my Admin user on a freshly installed with the “Advanced Permissions” activated able to use the “New Group”
Navigate to Setup > Security
Disable Use the advanced permissions of some modules
Go back to Users & Group > Groups > New Group
Create a new group, in my case, I named it “Super Admin”
Set the “Super Admin” to have all permissions
Go to Users & Group > List of users
Select your current admin user
Attach the newly created “Super Admin” to your admin user
Enable Use the advanced permissions of some modules in Setup > Security
And now you should be able to access the New Group page without the Access denied message
I hope there is some technical explanation about why is this the case (as I’m quite new to the platform and not quite proficient in the internal programmatical mechanism).
