For the 5 time, the French company Open-DSI, launch a collaborative financing for Accounting module.
The goal is to have collaborative financing to enhance the Accounting core module of Dolibarr.
All the development financed will be posted on the core (on GitHub) and being open-source.
This development is foreseen to be integrated in 2022, and will be part of Dolibarr V16.
Like every year (but the first time on the English forum ), we need more of you to go higher and further!

For the next levels, a poll is ongoing to decide, what should be done :
“Annual closing”: In order to finance the completion of this part, to get closer and closer to an accounting software within your favorite tool.
This concerns the automatic generation of an a-new entry to open the new accounting year, closing of previous accounts and blocking of entries on closed years (requires checking the dates of entries of operations on all modules writing in accounting.
“Status Invoice”: To finalize this functionality and make it available to all users.
This hidden functionality, for the moment, allowing to carry out invoices of situation (Invoice BTP of progress of building sites in particular) must be redeveloped with tests of integration pushed following a bad integration (Method of recording in data base with the progress rather than by difference).
Why propose it on a participative financing accounting? Accounting is directly impacted because it affects the invoice module. This module is the basis for the generation of many accounting entries.

“API development” : You can now connect third party tools to Dolibarr by reading information or by inserting data (Woo-commerce sync for example). However this part is totally missing on the accounting module!
