Last time I checkd, one had to export to other accounting systems like Sage in order to get these reports, has this been improved, are there possibilities of accessing accounting statements inside Dolibarr itself.

Standard financial statements do not appear available. I’ve seen numerous requests for this feature. Unfortunately, I have not seen any comments indicating that it is planned. Financial reporting would complete Dolibarr.

Dolibarr is open source, basically all the new features are financed by companies that need new features, or by volunteers.
If you want new things to happen, help your self (propose/promote/crowndfunding/etc…) !

First thing to do, in my opinion, is to open a clear and detailed Feature Request on Github, or to search if some already exist and try to animate it. Issues · Dolibarr/dolibarr · GitHub
After that you can try to send an email to Alexandre, that is the main contributor of the accounting features of Dolibarr to have is feeling and way forward : aspangaro (Alexandre SPANGARO) · GitHub
And don’t worry, french is not at all mandatory !
