I would be grateful if someone could help me with the issue we have and tell me if there is a solution within a Dolibarr for the case we have. Permit me to describe the situation:
99% of our output are the custom product, manufactured per the end-users demands. The type of our manufacture is in fact Engineere-to-order (ETO). The final products consist of two or more of the raw materials, which are to be cut out of the larger colils from the raw materials stock and than processed into a final product. There are more than 200 of the basic types, plus additional 50+ of the types for the upgrade in the raw materials list. The base types are purchased in the form of the sheets in a roll, usually 2 to 3 meters wide and 30 to 150 meters long. The upgrade types are in linear meters. So, when a final product is made only a required part of the raw materials is used. This creates a lot of smaller rolls and shorter pieces.
In a such situation, I accept that the stock movement tracking is near to impossible. The best option is to have raw materials state tracked per the sqare meters and the linear meters as the unit of measure.
The question is how do we approach the creation of the offers, BOM and MO for the custom products?
Can anyone give me any guidelines or direct me to the possible solution.
