Group invoice line items and calculate subtotal?

I want to create invoices, that contain line items with products and services. I want to print the subtotal of the products and the services separately. Can this be done out of the box with configuration or does it require extra modules or modifying/new templates?

Hello, looking for the same. Did you ever learned of a way to do it?

This is not possible out of the box. If I remember right, there are modules in the Dolistore for creating subtotals, but I did not use one myself.
