Joomla Module

Hello,

I have installed joomla module 1.1.1 on doli 3.2.0 and also the joomla plugin in j2.5 site. However I cant see how this works. The joomla plug-in does not have any parameters. And the doli module only has the database setup information and I have tested the connection it is okay.

I am trying to login to the joomla site and then automatically open dolibarr from a link.

I can’t see how to do this or to synchronise users.

Is there any information available?

Paul

Can somebody please explain how this works I am stumped.

hi,

you have install and activate the joomla plugin ?

synchronization occurs when creating or updating a user in dolibarr. try to edit and save a user, you can connect with its login/pwd from joomla, you should be self-connected if you go on dolibarr.

Hello Regis,

I have been using joomla for 6 years plugin installed and enabled. Dolibarr Module installed and Test connection is OK. Joomla and Dolibarr use same database.

Edited dolibarr user details nothing appears in Joomla user manager. Does the module add a new user to joomla or just the changes ?

Also can you confirm this module will auto login from Joomla to Dolibarr ie if user is logged into joomla they do not have to login to doli? I cannot see how this works.

Thanks

Hello Regis,

Can you please confirm this module is supposed to auto login from Joomla to dolibarr ie Joomla is the primary login.

If not the sync is still useful is it possible for us to modify the code to enable joomla login.

Thanks

yes I confirm, that when creating or editing a user dolibarr, it must be created in joomla, or if it already exists in joomla and we have informed the same login name into dolibarr, he will update in joomla. Then you can login from joomla, which will allow you to access dolibarr without connecting again.
Does the plugin to dolibarr been installed and enabled in joomla?
if you go to “home-> System Info-> triggers”, you see the trigger joomla?

I have as folllows.

  1. Joomla plugin installed and enabled. I have created joomla user with same username and password as dolibarr user.

  2. Dolibarr Module installed copied to the htdocs/custom dir and in home -> modules the module is on and test connection ok with correct j25_ prefix.

  3. Dolibarr “home-> System Info-> triggers” I do not have a joomla trigger.

The trigger would seem to be the problem. How is trigger installed.

I am also still confused about how to link from Joomla to Dolibarr and automatically login. Is there a syntax for the URL ?

Paul

it is essential to create the user since dolibarr.
dolibarr will create it automatically in joomla (via the trigger).
if the user already exists in joomla, just create it in dolibarr with the same login as joomla (first time), it is dolibarr which will update the password, do not change the password in joomla because it is not the same system. must control everything from dolibarr. once the user “joomla” is related to the user dolibarr it is possible to change the login from dolibarr, it will automatically change in joomla.

this is the plugin “dolibarr user” in joomla which is responsible for opening the session dolibarr once the user “joomla” is connected.

he’ll just have to bring up a link to dolibarr once the joomla user is connected.

with respect to the trigger, have you tried to deactivate and reactivate the module joomla, in dolibarr?

Thanks Regis all working now. I had to turn the module off/on to get the trigger to appear and that resolves the issue.

Hello Regis,

I have now installed module on my live server although still testing. This is doli 3.2.0 with joomla.

Joomla - doli connection works ok. if you update user details in dolibarr the changes are carried through to the Joomla user manager. I have the same user in joomla and Dolibarr and the joomla plug-in is enabled.

However if I login to joomla and then try to load Dolibarr in an Iframe wrapper it does not login and I get message "Bad value for login or password " I have tried clearing the cache in the browser etc makes no difference. if you login manually through the iframe and then logout this also logs you out of joomla which is okay.

I also noticed that if I login to Dolibarr directly ie not through the iframe and then try login through the iframe I sometimes get the same error and I have to clear the browser cache.

Are you using cookies ?

Regards
Paul

yes but just for the first auto login in dolibarr

Hello Regis,

I am struggling to get this to work reliably. I have the multicompany module and the joomla module. In the multicompany module do I need to have enablecookielogin and Hide the choice of entity in the login page enabled ?

The problems seem to relate to using cookies pass the password and the selection of the entity in the Dolibarr login screen. Sometimes it works but as soon as you get the error you cannot login without closing the browser and starting again.

I have disabled multicompany and it works first time so this is a problem with joomla module working with multicompany module.

sorry for the confusion I should have mentioned multicompany module earlier.

Paul

joomla module has not been tested with the module Multicompany.
what do you do exactly?
what is the required operating mode?

Hello Regis,

I am testing to see if I can use dolibarr with joomla where contractors log in to use a technical building information library which is in joomla and then projects and tasks which is in Dolibarr. I’m trying to use the multicompany to segregate the contractors. Each contractors will only ever be a user of one company (which is a building in our context). I am trying to achieve seamless login between joomla and Dolibarr ideally without the contractor having to select the entity in the drop-down list.

So they login to joomla and then are automatically logged in to the correct company in Dolibarr.

Paul

ok I see, I’ll do some tests and make it compatible with the Multicompany
you have an account on doliforge?
you are associated with the two projects?

Hello Regis, Yes I have joined the projects on doliforge.

Any progress on joomla - multi company issue ?

Hello Regis,

Any progress on multi-compnay - joomla issue ?

Regards
Paul

sorry, I look at it quickly

Hello Regis,

Another issue with the joomla module is that if you logout via joomla you are not logged out of dolibarr. It works the other way round ie if you log out of Dolibarr you are then logged out of joomla automatically.

This is a problem when testing and logging in as different users.

Paul
