Paypal and Stripe modules

Hello,

are the paypal and stripe modules fully fonctional on Dolibarr v18 ?

I saw some issues with paypal on the french forum

The default Stripe module only works if you are taking one off payments. We have recently developed a GoCardless integration for Dolibarr CRM/ERP that eloquently handles collecting one off and/or recurring invoices in Dolibarr. I believe that GoCardless fees are also slightly lower than what Stripe charge (according to an existing customer of ours).

Being interested in saving money I looked it up, and it does appear like Stripe is the cheapest for me in Denmark.

I organize dance events, and have about half DK and half foreigners, mostly from EU.

Stripe: 1.5% + 1.8 dkr (UK cards are 2.5%)
GoCardless:

  • DK: 1% + 5,- dkr
  • EU: 2% + 5,- dkr

so if I assume a 50/50 spread, that means on average Gocardless would be (1%+2%)/2 which is 1,5% so for me gocardless is not cheaper

@hansem v18 is pretty old, but I used the Stripe module last year with 18.0.5 to receive payments.

Hey, I discovered GoCardless today… but I noticed they have an ABSOLUTE FEE LIMIT of €2.50! So, even if 2% of a payment would exceed this limit, they won’t charge you more than €2.50 in fees? It seems too good to be true! :open_mouth:

Edited:
After spending some time reading their webpage, I realized that they only manage payments through bank transfers, particularly automatic recurring payments, and not through card payments. Nonetheless, their fees seem quite convenient. It was an interesting discovery .

stancer that ksar suggested seemed interesting to me.
