What about enabling the experimental feature of a receipt printer?
Enable experimental featurs via menu: Setup -> Setup others
add or edit:
MAIN_FEATURES_LEVEL with a value of 2
Level of features to show: -1=stable+deprecated, 0=stable only (default), 1=stable+experimental, 2=stable+experimental+development
