Hello - How does the margin feature work in product? I add buying and selling price to a product but margin still shows 0.00 ? I want to be to see profit margin per product (some have kit so calculate overall margin taking into account kit).
Hi @mcfc4heatons , I believe the Margin tab will show you some results once you have a full record on the product (purchasing and sales). If you have only one of them already, the margin field will show 0.00.
The reason for that is the Margin is calculated based on the sales invoices. It takes the actual sales price and calculates the margin based on both marked and actual sales rates in %.

I am almost curtained the margin is being calculated based on each individual sales price and the cost price in each sale invoice. It depends on the settings you have but that cost price could be last baying price, a cost price (manually entered in the products record) or the Weighted average price, calculated by the system.
