I’m using v20.0.4 - I can’t seem to insert entries into the ledger for the current financial year (2025) - I can only make entries up to 31 December 2024 as whenever I try to make entries in 2025 I receive the message “The bookkeeping doc date is not inside the active fiscal period”. Is there a setting I need to change somewhere in order to be able to insert entries for the current year?

You will need to setup a new fiscal year for 2025.
Go to Accounting > Setup > Accounting Period
Then add a new period with a Label [FY 2025] start and end dates

Many thanks for your comment. It guided me to where I could find the solution. In fact, looking at the normal accounting menu I couldn’t find the Accounting Period page.
However I then looked into the Accounting Tutorial page and found the link there which allowed me to insert the accounting period.
